Finding remains of Atlantis, in Ibiza

There are so many beautiful, mystical locations on Ibiza which hold a unique energy, truly fueling you with magic. Sa Pedrera de Cala, also known as remains of Atlantis is one of these areas, which is very close to Es Vedra. This location used to be visited by “hippies” in the 1970s who would literally stay down in this area for weeks, some would live in the caves, others would stay down at the main stone ruins. It is an incredible environment which has to be felt, and the pictures below can give you an insight into the beauty found here. Read on to discover more.

Its unique energy

The remains of Atlantis are very close to Es Vedra, the Mountain which sits directly on one of Earths lay lines, therefore it is no wonder that the energy in this location is so uplifting and calming. As a side note, any area on the planet which is located on a lay line, has immense energy impulses as its frequency vibrates very high, in simple words these areas are able to uplift your wellbeing simply by being in its environment. Therefore it does not come as a surprise that back in the day people lived down there. When you visit this area, you will understand why, due to the feeling you experience there, it really is undescribable!

How to get there

You can park your car at the “new Es Vedra viewpoint parking” as the one closer to the top has been closed. From there you will walk up the mountain for about 1 km, walking past stone spirals. Throughout the whole walk you have beautiful views over the Ocean and Es Vedra keeping you in awe at all times! Eventually, you will get to the top of the mountain and from there you hike downwards for about 30 minutes. This hike is quite steep so do take closed shoes (no flipflops) and take a big water bottle!

If you want to explore more in the area you can also hike up to the viewpoint tower which is another good 30 minutes upwards offering beautiful views over Es Vedra as well as the remains of Atlantis itself.

At the site

Once you arrive on the site, you will be surrounded by beautiful boulders or even the mountains above which hold impressive energy. Walking around the area is truly amazing, and you can also swim or sit in the pool formed by the ocean waves within the stones and simply sit in there in silence. You will be surrounded by paradise like water colors as well as some artistic features around the area.

This natural beauty in Ibiza, is less known with a lovely hike, and definetly a location to be visited when on the island, as it holds such great energy uplifting anyone visiting it!
